Brazil revenue department to control cigarette production

Brazil’s Federal Revenue Department expects to have installed by the end of the year a new control and monitoring system for cigarette manufacturing in each of the 14 local manufacturers. The new system will allow real time control of the domestic production of cigarettes and its accurate and correct taxation. The new system was regulated by Normative Instruction No. 769 of August 24.
