Decree 6,127/07 suspends the levy of P.I.S. (the Program for Social Integration contribution), COFINS (the Contribution for the Financing of Social Security) on sales of packaging material by Brazilian manufacturers to nonresident companies, for delivery in the Brazilian territory and for the sole purpose of use in exports of goods abroad. After exports are completed, the suspension becomes tax exemption.
