The Federal Judge of 13th Court of Brasília determined that steel-manufacturers Gerdau and Belgo Mineira post bank guarantees of R$ 245 million and R$ 75 million, respectively, as condition to appeal against CADE’s (Brazilian Administrative Counsel of Economic Defense) decision that condemned such companies for formation of cartel in the steel market.
