On June 30 expires the deadline for companies to register foreign ‘tainted’ capital with Brazil’s Central Bank. The registration applies to ‘tainted’ capital existing by December 31, 2005. ‘Tainted’ capital is the foreign investment made in a Brazilian company unregistered with the Central Bank and arising from certain listed activities.
