Employer must provide and enforce use of PPE

According to a recent decision of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), it is not sufficient for the employer to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to its employees; the employer is also required to make PPEs use mandatory. With this rule, the STJ upheld a lower court’s decision that held an employer guilty for not enforcing use of PPEs that it provided to its employees. (Special Appeal No. 171927)
