The National Monetary Council (Conselho Monetário Nacional, or CMN) issued Resolution No. 3,464/07, which requires Brazilian banks and other financial institutions to implement structures to manage market risks. Implementation must be complete by June 30, 2008 according to the nature and complexity of the operations of each financial institution.
