MERCOSUL – Agreement for the Protection of Consumers Law


The Brazilian government signed, in June 03, 2004, an agreement with other members of MERCOSUR – Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina – that will allow all citizens to use any member’s consumer defense agencies. The agreement has the objective to protect the consumers and is considered another step to tie the relations between members. The agreement was not yet ratified by the Brazilian National Congress.
