Minas Gerais State Creates Instrument to Promote Public-Private Partnerships

State Decree No. 44,565/07 creates an instrument (Procedimento de Manifestação de Interesse, or PMI) where the government will disclose its interest to receive suggestions from the private sector with respect to Public-Private Partnership (Parcerias Público-Privadas, or PPP) project. With this new procedure, before any relevant PPP public bid, the private sector will be able to present suggestions that may be included in the bid.
