The Brazilian Securities Exchange Commission issued a resolution regarding the registration of non-resident investors in Brazil. From now on, the securities brokers will be able to register the mentioned investors in an easier way, according to the rules issued by the stock exchange and over the counter market institutions, provided that they must follow some requirements: the investor must be client of a foreign institution; such institution must provide all the information required by SEC and Brazilian public authorities; and the securities brokers must provide parameters to evaluate the trustworthy degree of the intermediate foreign institution.
